Wood Bats

Wood bats are the standard for wood-bat leagues, serious BP, and any hitter chasing truer feedback than metal gives. Maple is the dense, hard-hitting pro favorite; birch flexes a little more and dents instead of shattering while it breaks in; bamboo and composite-wood models trade a touch of feel for lasting several times longer in a cage. Two of the bats below carry a BBCOR stamp, which makes them legal for high school and college play as well, so check the stamp on the barrel before a game, not after.
