Turf & Hitting Mats
A mat protects the ground and gives a hitter the same footing every rep, which is most of what makes backyard swings repeatable. A batter's-box mat is the cheap way in; full turf rolls finish a cage floor end to end; a pitching mat with a rubber moulded in lets the same tunnel run bullpens. Measure the floor first — turf is sold by the roll and cutting it down is easier than splicing two pieces together.
