Palm Springs Pro Day 2026: Date, Cost and How to Sign Up

Status: Upcoming. Checked against the official page on October 29, 2026. This post is updated after the event. Check the official page for changes before you travel.

The 2026 Power Baseball Partner Leagues Pro Day is a tryout in Palm Springs, California, on November 13 and 14. It is hosted by Palm Springs POWER Baseball with partner league organizations, including the Washington Wild Things and the Windy City Thunderbolts. If you are a player trying to get seen by pro teams, this is one of the few dated, official events on the calendar right now.

The facts, from the official page

Dates: November 13 and 14, 2026.
Place: Palm Springs, California. The page does not list a field address, so get it from the organizer before you book anything.
Who runs it: Palm Springs POWER Baseball with partner league organizations, including the Washington Wild Things and the Windy City Thunderbolts.
Cost: the registration form shows $150 for infielders and outfielders and $125 for pitchers and catchers, charged when you register. The form's intro text lists $100 and $75 instead, so confirm the amount with the organizer before you pay.
Who it is for: the page does not state an age or eligibility rule. Ask before you pay if you are a current college player or under contract elsewhere.
How to register: through the official sign-up form. It asks for your contact details, date of birth, height, weight, bats and throws, a primary position (and an optional second one), and your playing experience from high school through pro ball.

What the page does not say

The page does not list a daily schedule, what to bring, which scouts or team staff will attend, a refund policy, or what happens after you register. We are not going to guess at those. Use the site's contact page to ask for the schedule and a refund policy in writing before you pay.

What to bring (general guidance, not from the organizer)

For any pro tryout, plan on your own glove, cleats, a bat if you use your own (ask whether bats are provided), a throwing routine for arm care, water, and a printed one-page sheet with your name, position, height, weight, bats and throws, and your best stats. Ask whether the organizer supplies baseballs and whether pitchers should arrive already warm.

What evaluators usually look at

Pro evaluators watch tools first and résumés second. For a position player that means the 60-yard dash time, arm strength and accuracy on throws from your position, and bat speed and quality of contact in batting practice. For a pitcher it is velocity, how the ball moves, and whether you throw strikes. They also notice how you move between drills and how you handle a bad rep. Showing up in shape and being coachable counts for more than one big swing.

What happens after

The organizer has not published a process. In general, players who stand out at an event like this may hear from a club, but nothing about the outcome is guaranteed, and some players leave with nothing more than video and feedback. Before you pay, ask plainly: do partner clubs sign players straight from this event, and what do those contracts look like?

Weigh the cost

Showcase fees are normal, but add up the whole trip: the fee, travel and two nights in a hotel. Ask which clubs will have staff there, and treat a vague answer as an answer.

Keep training until then

Two weeks is enough time to sharpen, not to rebuild. To get swings in or find a coach, browse cages and training spaces near you. If you want to play pro or semi-pro baseball and are open to playing outside the country, build your profile in CageList's player pool, and see where US pro and entertainment baseball fits on our US playing pathways page.
