Sixty minutes is long enough to fix something and short enough to hold a ten year old. Every CageList lesson is one hour, on purpose.

Coach playbook, 1 of 5. A lesson on CageList is 60 minutes. Here is why we did not offer a menu of lengths.

By the time a player walks to the cage, a parent is two minutes late and someone needs water, a thirty minute slot holds about twenty minutes of work. That is one adjustment and no time to repeat it until it sticks.
02
Past an hour, reps get sloppy and attention drifts. Two good hours in a week beat one long one. If a player needs more, book another day.

Even advanced players lean on a coach for mentorship: a slump, a bad game, a hard coach. That conversation needs room, and an hour has it.

Isaac Hess founded CageList after seven years of professional baseball and a coaching career of his own. These are the principles we share with every coach on the platform. They come from his academy, MADE Baseball, CageList's sister company. More of the story at isaachess.com.
