Backyard Batting Cage in Winchester, MA

There's a great story behind this backyard batting cage in Winchester, MA: a dad just finished building it and told his son he could keep the proceeds if they listed it. Now a brand-new turf cage with a machine and automatic feeder is open to the neighborhood — and one kid is learning firsthand what his own hard work can earn.
The cage
This freshly built outdoor turf cage runs about 45 feet and is set up around a Spinball pitching machine with an automatic feeder, so a hitter can load it up and keep the reps coming without a partner feeding balls. It also includes baseballs, an L-screen, a hitting tee, and a dedicated soft-toss station, with seating and restroom access on site. Sessions run $40 an hour, booked by the hour so you reserve exactly the block you want.
Who it's for
The host welcomes individual sessions, small groups, pitching practice, private lessons, and youth team practices, and lists the cage as suitable for youth, high school, college, and even professional-level players. With room for up to four guests, it's a versatile space for a focused solo hitter, a parent working with a player, or a small crew getting quality reps in together.
The host
Clint just finished the cage and made a deal with his son: use CageList, and the proceeds are his. It's a small thing that says a lot — a family turning a backyard project into a lesson in effort and ownership, and sharing the result with players around Winchester instead of letting a brand-new cage sit idle most of the week.
Good to know
The automatic feeder is the standout here — it lets a solo hitter run a full machine session without anyone loading balls, which is a genuine luxury for players training alone. House rules are easy: no cleats, no gum, no pets. Seating and a restroom are on site for downtime between rounds. It's an outdoor cage, so it's at its best in fair weather.
