Backyard Batting Cage in St. Cloud, FL

This backyard batting cage in St. Cloud, FL comes from a family that simply loves watching kids train for something they care about. Tomas Huertas turned a private residential backyard into a full practice space — cage, open field, and room for a whole team.
The cage
The batting cage measures 14 feet wide by 70 feet long by 12 feet tall, sitting on natural grass in a private backyard. Beyond it stretches a large additional practice area — roughly 125 by 85 feet — extending toward the front of the yard, so there's real room for more than just cage work. Equipment includes an L-screen, a batting tee, and plenty of space for infield drills. LED lighting, restroom access, a sound system, and parking are all on site, and sessions run $45/hour.
Who it's for
Tomas lists it for youth through professional players, with training types spanning individual sessions, small groups, youth team practices, pitching and infield work, private lessons, camps and clinics, filming, and even birthday parties. With a five-year minimum age and room for a team of up to 15, it's built to host a full squad.
The host
Tomas puts the heart of it plainly: "We are a family that loves baseball and we love watching the kids train for something they love while having fun at the same time." He's also candid that the family keeps improving the space — more lights, turf, and covered seating are on the roadmap — so it keeps getting better for the players who use it.
Good to know
It's an outdoor, uncovered cage on private property, so plan around the weather. Parking is on the lawn beside the driveway — never in the driveway or garage — and only coaches may park in the backyard. House rules are strict: no pets, no smoking, no seeds, no glass, no gum, no food, and no alcohol. Parking is at your own risk.
