No frills, no fuss, just a solid place to hit. This backyard batting cage in Redding, CA is an honest, affordable setup for hitters and pitchers who care more about getting reps than about polish, and at $23/hour it's one of the best values you'll find anywhere in Northern California.

The cage

The cage runs 60 feet long, 10 feet wide, and 10 feet tall, an outdoor cage in pretty good condition, with a few patched holes the host is upfront about rather than hiding. It includes an L-screen, a batting tee, and baseballs, plus a bullpen mound and a 9-hole strike zone for pitching practice, so pitchers can work on hitting their spots and not just throwing hard. There's enough space for some infield work, and parking and a sound system on site. Need equipment you don't see listed? Just ask. Sessions are $23/hour.

Who it's for

Between the hitting setup, the mound, and the 9-hole strike zone, it fits both hitters chasing extra reps and pitchers wanting to work on location and command, individual sessions and small groups, up to eight guests. It's a practical, all-purpose backyard for players who just want to train.

The host

Wayde keeps it real about the space ("pretty decent batting cage in pretty good condition") and offers to help with equipment if you need it. That honesty is refreshing; you know exactly what you're getting, and it's a straightforward, welcoming backyard cage for local players.
