Roomy, private, and set in one of San Diego County's quietest corners, this backyard batting cage in Rancho Santa Fe, CA gives serious hitters the space and calm to get real work done, extra reps, focused individual training, and the kind of privacy you just don't get at a busy commercial facility.

The cage

The cage is a generous 70 feet long, 14 feet wide, and 12 feet tall, an outdoor setup with plenty of depth and room to move through a full session without feeling boxed in. It comes with an L-screen and a batting tee, along with baseballs, and there's enough space for some infield work when you want to mix in defense. A seating area and on-site parking round it out. Sessions are $65/hour in a well-kept, spacious backyard, and the width and height mean the ball has room to travel the way it would on a real field.

Who it's for

With its size and privacy, it's a strong fit for individual hitters and small sessions (up to three guests) who want extra reps, a place to work on mechanics, or quiet one-on-one training. It's set up for individuals rather than full team practices, which is exactly what makes it so good for concentrated, distraction-free work.

The host

Sean keeps this cage private, spacious, and ready for a focused session. It's a well-maintained backyard setup offered to local players who want a quiet place to train, close to home and away from the crowds.

Good to know

The setting is private with seating and parking on site. This is an individual-focused cage (no team practices) and the house rules keep it clean and quiet: no pets, alcohol, smoking, loud music, seeds, gum, or cleats. Come ready for a calm, distraction-free hitting session, and treat the space with the same care the host puts into keeping it in shape.
