The cage

This is a Batco outdoor cage, 36 feet long, 14 feet wide, and 15 feet tall — tall enough for comfortable full swings. It's properly softball-tuned rather than a baseball cage with a softball machine bolted on: a batter's box mat, a hitting tee, an Atec pro pitcher's practice backstop, a combo screen for protection, and a Jugs super softball machine fed with a bucket of dimpled softballs. On-site parking makes drop-off and pickup easy. Sessions are $35/hour.

Who it's for

It's built for softball hitters and small family sessions of up to 5 — ideal for a player and a parent working through machine reps and tee work together. Nikki has three daughters, "2 of them live for softball," and she says it directly: "I put together this cage for them to be able to practice their skills and improve their game."
