Some cages come with a view, this backyard batting cage in Menifee, CA is a quiet, private spot with a genuinely beautiful backdrop, opened up by a family that's lived the travel-ball life for years.

The cage

This outdoor cage is 35 feet long, 12 feet wide, and 11 feet tall, with an L-screen and lights for evening reps. It's a compact, honest setup, and the host describes it exactly as it is: "No one around. 35' cage. L Screen. Lights." The shorter length is well suited to the kind of focused, high-volume work that actually builds a swing, and the surrounding view makes it a calm place to spend an hour. Sessions are $25/hour.

Who it's for

The length is ideal for tee work, soft toss, and front-toss reps for a solo hitter or a small family group of up to 6. It's the kind of private, low-key spot you book when you want to get real, focused swings in without a crowd, a clock you're sharing with strangers, or anyone watching over your shoulder.

The host

Chris has "been in the travel ball game since 7" and offers "a beautiful view and lots of baseball stuff for you to use." This is a family that's put in years on the travel-ball circuit and knows what a player actually needs, now sharing a peaceful, well-stocked spot to hit with the local community.

Good to know

It's private with no one around and lit for evening sessions, so you can hit late without any hassle. House rules are light and easy: no pets, no gum, no glass. Book by the hour and train on your own schedule, and enjoy the view while you're at it.
