Backyard Batting Cage in Kent, WA

The Trujillo Cage — a 70-foot backyard batting cage in Kent, WA — was built by Lauren Trujillo to make quality training more accessible and affordable for the local sports community, and it welcomes both baseball and softball players.
The cage
Lauren's outdoor cage stretches a full 70 feet long, 14 wide, and 12 tall — long enough for real hitting, pitching, and drill work. It's equipped with a baseball-and-softball combo pitching machine, a variety of screens and nets, a hitting tee, a soft-toss station, and space to work the infield. Bring your own bats, balls, and helmets. Sessions are $40/hour with parking (five spots along the street) and seating, and the cage fits up to six guests.
Who it's for
Lauren welcomes individual sessions, small groups, pitching practices, and private lessons, for youth, high school, and college players alike. Whether you're "preparing for tryouts, working with a trainer, or just want to get extra swings in," the length and the combo machine make it a flexible spot. Supervised youth players are welcome, and the soft-toss station plus infield space mean a session can cover more than just machine work.
The host
Lauren says it directly: "We created The Trujillo Cage to make quality training more accessible and affordable for our local sports community." It's a family-friendly backyard setting built with the neighborhood in mind — a real place for local players to work. That mission, keeping quality training within reach for local families, is what the whole cage is built around, and it shows in the flexible, affordable scheduling.
Good to know
Park along the street (up to five spots), and note the house rules: no pets, no smoking, no loud music, no glass. It's a private, outdoor cage, so plan around the weather. Bring your own bats, balls, and helmets. Sessions run $40/hour with room for up to six guests, and the combo machine handles both baseball and softball speeds.
