Set up in a quiet backyard batting cage in Hicksville, NY is exactly the kind of full-size setup every hitter wishes they had at home, and Daniel Airo Farulla built it, then opened it up so the neighborhood could hit here too.

The cage

Daniel's outdoor cage runs a generous 55 feet long, 15 wide, and 12 tall, room to open up your swing and take a full round without feeling boxed in. It comes stocked with a pitching machine, an L-screen for front toss, a hitting tee, baseballs, and a bullpen mound, so hitters and pitchers alike get real work in. A sound system sets the tone. Sessions are $40/hour with everything included, so you can show up empty-handed and still get a complete workout.

Who it's for

Built for up to three guests, this cage suits an individual hitter, a parent-and-player pair, or a pitcher grinding through a bullpen. With the machine, tee, and mound on hand, you can build a full session, timing reps off the machine, front toss behind the L-screen, and pitching off the mound, without hauling gear across town. Because it caps at three, it stays uncrowded, so every rep is yours and there's no waiting your turn while a big group rotates through.

The host

Daniel keeps the welcome simple and warm, "Thanks for renting our cage." He's the one on the block with the real backyard cage now, and instead of letting it sit idle, he turned it into training time for hitters all over Hicksville. Putting a full 55-foot cage, a machine, and a mound in your own yard is a real investment, and Daniel chose to share it rather than keep it to himself.

Good to know

This is a private, individual-focused cage, team practices aren't offered, so it stays quiet and available for your own work whenever you book. House rules keep it clean and easy: no pets, no seeds, no gum, no glass, and no loud music, alcohol, or smoking. It's an outdoor, uncovered cage, so plan your session around the weather, and everything you need to hit is already there when you arrive.
