This backyard batting cage in Chandler, AZ is about as complete a home training setup as you'll find, built by a baseball family who clearly went all in, and now shared with the local hitting community.

The cage

The tunnel runs 70 feet long, 14 feet wide, and 14 feet tall, laid over turf grass with LED lights for evening sessions. Hitters get a Hack Attack pitching machine that throws anywhere from 0 to 100 mph, plus a pitching mound, a nine-hole pitching target, and a baseball cart to work through balls quickly without constant resets. There's a speaker for the session, on-site parking, and (a rare bonus) the turf infield can be rented out separately for ground balls and defensive work. Sessions run $50/hour, which is a strong value given how much equipment comes with the space.

Who it's for

With that full speed range and the mound and target added in, this cage serves hitters and pitchers at every level, a beginner working on contact, an advanced player facing 90-plus looks, or a small group splitting hitting and defensive work across the cage and the infield. It's flexible enough for a solo session or a full team-style practice.

The host

Robert and his family describe themselves simply as "a baseball family living in Chandler, AZ." You can read the rest in the equipment list, the Hack Attack, the mound, the nine-hole target, the rentable turf infield add up to a setup a serious family builds out of real love for the game. That they've opened it to others says as much about them as the gear does.

Good to know

The LED lights and turf make this a true year-round, day-or-night option in the Arizona climate. On-site parking keeps arrivals easy, and the optional turf infield rental is a genuine differentiator for teams and players who want more than just hitting in a single visit.
