On a ranch just outside town sits a backyard batting cage in Castaic, CA that started as a father's project for his two boys, and grew into a place any hitter would be lucky to call their home field.
The cage
This is a full-length outdoor cage: 55 feet long, 15 feet wide, and 14 feet tall, with plenty of room to really let it fly. It comes with a pitching machine to see live pitches, an L-screen for safe feeding, and a seating area for anyone waiting their turn. LED lighting means sessions don't have to end when the sun goes down, and there's restroom access and parking right on site. Sessions run $50/hour, so you book only the time you need and train on your own schedule, no shared lanes, no waiting behind a line.

Erik is a father of two boys, a youth baseball coach, and a personal trainer, and he built this cage on the family ranch so his sons and their team would always have a place to practice. He's now the guy with the batting cage, and he's opened it up so other families can get the same quality reps his own kids do.
