This backyard batting cage in Camarillo, CA comes with a promise you don't get at a commercial facility: you'll be welcomed and treated like family from the moment you walk through the gate.

The cage

The cage is 40 feet long and thoroughly stocked for a real session. It comes with a huge protective L-screen, a batters box mat, a Bata pitching machine, a Tanner tee, a pitching net, and over 100 machine balls that feel just like the real thing, so you can put in serious volume without stopping to gather balls. Access is easy through a back gate, and the backyard has seating for anyone waiting to hit. A BBQ and two fire pits can be added on request, and there's a basketball net for groups killing time between turns. Sessions run $40/hour for the full private setup.

Who it's for

With the Bata machine, the Tanner tee, and 100-plus balls on hand, this cage covers everyone from a young hitter getting started to a player putting in serious volume. The extras (seating, a basketball net, and the optional BBQ and fire pits) make it a natural fit for a family outing or a small group session where a few people hit while others hang out and wait their turn.

The host

Kristy sets the tone right up front: "Come get some amazing batting practice at a home where you'll be welcomed and treated like family." That hospitality is the whole draw here, a home on a quiet cul-de-sac where a hitting session turns into something closer to a get-together. It's the kind of warm, personal welcome that a backyard cage can offer and a big facility simply can't. Batters up.

Good to know

The cage sits on a cul-de-sac, so it's a calm, low-traffic spot, and the back-gate access makes coming and going simple. Ask ahead if you'd like the BBQ or the fire pits set up for your group, and plan a little extra time, this is a place people tend to linger.
