Set in a residential neighborhood is a backyard batting cage in Braintree, MA that's turfed, well-stocked, and ready for serious reps right in the yard, a real hitting tunnel, not just a net strung up in the grass.

The cage

This outdoor cage measures 55 feet long, 12 feet wide, and 12 feet tall, a full tunnel with room to swing freely. It's laid over turf and comes with an L-screen for safe front toss, a batters mat to hit from, and a shopping cart full of quality game balls, so you can work through a real session without stopping every few swings to reset. There's a batting tee for detail work and on-site parking to make coming and going easy. Sessions run $50/hour for the full private setup.

Who it's for

Built for baseball hitters and teams after extra reps, this cage suits a solo player grinding through a bucket, a parent working with a young hitter, or a small group cycling through the tee and front toss on the turf. The full 55-foot length means you're getting a true batting-practice distance, not a cramped short lane.

The host

Frank keeps this cage clean, stocked, and hitter-ready in a quiet residential setting, the kind of home setup that neighbors and local players come to rely on for quality reps close to home. Having a cart of good game balls always on hand is a small detail that makes a big difference, and it says a lot about how the space is looked after.

Good to know

The full turf surface and cart of game balls mean you're getting a real, uninterrupted session rather than constant resets. On-site parking and a private backyard location make it easy to get in, get your work done, and go, all at your own pace, with the space to yourself.
