If you need real room to work, this indoor batting cage in Temple Hills, MD is one of the largest spaces on CageList, a cavernous setup in the heart of the DMV, built to hold a whole team without anyone standing around waiting for a turn.

The cage

The space is genuinely big: 125 feet long, 65 wide, and 18 feet tall, with the height to let fly balls and high pitches clear the netting cleanly. It's stocked with baseballs and softballs, and bat rentals are available as a $10 add-on if you show up light on gear. Sessions run $75/hour and the floor holds up to 20 people, so it works for individual reps and full-team practice alike. The wide footprint gives coaches room to run hitting, soft-toss, and tee stations side by side.

Who it's for

With this much square footage indoors, the cage flexes from solo hitters to full team activity, six guests are included, with room for up to twenty. The generous width makes it a strong fit for team practices, larger group training, and multi-hitter sessions, and there's space to split a roster across several stations at once.

The host

The cage sits inside Palmuppalmdown, which Janet describes as "an indoor athletic facility in the DMV which specializes in personal fitness and athletic development." So this is more than an open room to swing in, it's part of a broader operation focused on getting athletes better.

Good to know

It's fully indoor, so weather never cancels a session, and it's conveniently located for players coming from DC, Maryland, or Virginia. House rules keep it clean and safe: no smoking, no pets, no alcohol. Bat rentals are on hand if you need them, and there's room to reserve the space for a full team.
