For families chasing real development, this indoor batting cage in Upland, CA is part of Bat & Barrel, a training facility built, in its own words, "to create a place where athletes and families feel comfortable, welcomed, and inspired the moment they walk through our doors."
The facility is fully equipped for baseball and softball: baseballs and softballs, a soft-toss station, a hitting tee, a baseball pitching machine, fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball machines, an L-screen, and both baseball and softball bullpen mounds, with enough space for infield work. Sessions run $65/hour with ten guests included and room for up to thirty, and a 30-minute session is available as an add-on. Amenities include a bathroom, seating, lighting, and music.
Bat & Barrel is built for a wide range of work, individual sessions, small groups, youth and adult team practices, pitching and infield practices, private lessons, camps and clinics, and even filming content. It welcomes players from youth through college and professional levels, which makes it one of the more versatile facilities on the list.
The vision is clear: "We're not just a training space. We're a community hub for baseball and softball families." Parents can watch from the lounge while athletes put in meaningful work, and the whole space is designed for connection as much as development, "where futures are built." As the facility puts it, "when athletes feel supported, they perform with confidence. And when families feel at home, something bigger is being built." It's the kind of place built to be walked into and felt, not just booked.
It's a private, indoor facility, so sessions run year-round with parking on site (and additional parking at the property entrance). House rules: no alcohol, pets, smoking, seeds, or cleats. With seating and a lounge, it's an easy place for a family to settle in for a longer training block.
