For hitters who want space and structure, this indoor batting cage in Temple Hills, MD at Palm Up Palm Down is one of the biggest on CageList, 166 feet long with certified trainers and a full team-development setup behind it.

The cage

The space runs a massive 166 feet long, 65 wide, and 18 feet tall, tall enough to keep high pitches and fly balls off the netting. It's stocked with baseballs and softballs, a baseball pitching machine, fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball machines, an L-screen, a hitting tee, and both baseball and softball bullpen mounds, plus room for infield work. Sessions are $75/hour with six guests included, and bat rentals are available as a $20 add-on.

Who it's for

With machines for both sports, mounds for bullpens, and open infield space, the cage covers hitters, pitchers, and fielders, and it's set up for teams as much as individuals. It's a genuine fit for group training and team practices where a coach wants to run several stations at once. The sheer length means a team can spread out, and with six guests included there's room for a small group before you even reach the ten-person cap.

The host

Palm Up Palm Down puts its trainers front and center: "Our team of experienced and certified trainers are dedicated to helping our members reach their full potential," with programs "tailored to each individual's and team's needs and goals." The mission, in their words, is "a welcoming and inclusive environment for people of all fitness levels." That focus on both individual and team development shows up in how the space is built, it's equipped to handle a solo hitter and a full roster with equal ease.
