Everything a serious hitter or pitcher could ask for, at a price that’s honestly hard to believe, the indoor batting cage in Rockville, MD is coach Niko Sanchez’s fully loaded tunnel, and it’s one of the best-equipped spaces you’ll come across.

The cage

The cage runs 70 feet long, 13 feet wide, and a tall 22 feet high, covered and indoors for training in any season. It’s stacked with gear: baseballs and softballs, a baseball pitching machine and a fastpitch softball machine, TrackMan, tees, weights, plates, and heavy balls, plus an L-screen and a bullpen mound. In Niko’s own words, it’s “machines, TrackMan, tees, weights, plates, heavy balls… everything.” Standard time runs just $25 an hour, with room for up to twenty-five guests, which makes it viable for a full team.

Who it’s for

The tall, long cage and full equipment list make it a fit for individual hitters, pitchers logging bullpens, and entire teams working through a practice plan. With TrackMan on site, players can put real data behind their swings and their pitches, which turns a session from casual reps into measurable, targeted improvement.

The host

Niko is a baseball coach “who loves teaching the game and watching players of all ages reach their potential.” That coaching heart shows up in just how completely he’s outfitted the space, he clearly built the cage he’d want his own players training in, and then made it available to everyone else too.

Good to know

The indoor setup means weather is never a factor in whether you get your work in, and the tall ceiling and long tunnel give pitchers and infielders genuine room to operate. At $25 an hour with TrackMan on site, it’s exceptional value for anyone serious about data-driven training.
