Run by an 11-year pro, this indoor batting cage in Miami, FL (SwingLAB) pairs a serious, well-kept training space with one of the most approachable rates you'll find anywhere, giving South Florida hitters a covered spot to get consistent, quality reps without breaking the budget.

The cage

SwingLAB's tunnel measures 50 feet long, 15 feet wide, and 15 feet high, fully covered and ready to use year-round. It comes stocked with baseballs, softballs, and a hitting tee, and the space includes restroom access, on-site parking, LED lighting, and music. Sessions start at just $15/hour, which makes it genuinely easy to book regular cage time and turn practice into a weekly habit rather than an occasional splurge. The tall dimensions give plenty of overhead and side clearance for full, uninhibited swings.

Who it's for

With room for up to 10 guests, SwingLAB works for solo hitters, hitting partners taking turns, and small groups alike. The generous 15-foot height and width mean there's ample clearance for comfortable, full-effort cuts (softball players included) and the layout keeps a small group moving without anyone waiting on cramped space. It's a practical, no-nonsense environment for players who just want to hit.

The host

Alex Castellanos brings 11 years of professional baseball to the space. "Thank you for choosing SwingLab as your training facility," he tells guests, and the setup reflects a pro's standard for what a hitter actually needs to get better: a clean tunnel, reliable equipment, and a rate that doesn't get in the way of putting in the work.

Good to know

The cage is fully covered, so Miami's heat and its sudden afternoon storms won't derail a session, it's a true year-round option. Parking and restrooms are on-site, which keeps things simple for a quick drop-in. House rules keep the space tidy and pleasant: no cleats, food, seeds, gum, glass, pets, alcohol, smoking, or loud music. At $15/hour, it's an easy one to build into a regular training routine.
