Name: Indoor batting cage with turf in Grand Prairie, TX
Address: Grand Prairie, TX, US
Price range: $100

When you have two kids in travel ball, you learn fast what a good cage is worth, which is exactly why this indoor batting cage in Grand Prairie, TX turned out so complete, with real turf and a full infield behind it.

The cage

This is a proper indoor, turfed cage, 71 feet long, 21 feet wide, and 14 feet tall, with a big roll-up door at the end that opens for airflow and natural light. Inside you'll find two tees, an L-screen, and a pitching mound, plus a baseball pitching machine, a fastpitch softball machine, and both baseballs and softballs. There's a full-size softball infield behind the cage, and an outdoor infield is available as an add-on for teams that want to run defensive work too. LED lighting, a Bluetooth sound system, seating, and parking are all here, and rates are $100/hour.

Who it's for

Between the two machines, the turf, and the full infield, this handles both baseball and softball hitters and gives infielders genuine room to take grounders and turn plays. It's an intimate setup built for up to four guests, so it's ideal for focused individual sessions or tight small-group training where everyone gets real reps rather than standing in line.

The host

Ryan has two children who both play travel ball (a daughter in softball and a son in baseball) and it shows in every detail of the build. This is a cage put together by a parent who knows exactly what serious young players actually need to get better, because he watches it every week.

Good to know

The space is indoor and covered with a roll-up door for airflow and natural light, so it works comfortably in any weather. Parking and seating are on site, and that full softball infield behind the cage is a feature that sets this apart from just about any other home setup you'll find.
