Indoor Batting Cage in Foristell, MO

This indoor batting cage in Foristell, MO started as a way for one family to keep their 8U kids training through Missouri winters — and grew into something bigger. Bret built Home Based Training so his own children could keep working no matter the weather, then opened it to the community as a not-for-profit.
The cage
The cage measures 54 feet long, 12 feet wide, and 12 feet high, 100% indoors, climate-controlled, and private. It's stocked for both sports: baseballs, softballs, a baseball pitching machine, a fast-pitch softball machine, L-screen, hitting tees, and bullpen mounds, with room for infield work. Amenities include parking, lighting, and seating. Sessions run $40/hour, with optional add-ons — ball rental, machine use, and a youth pitching mound ($5 each).
Who it's for
The dimensions suit hitters of all ages and pitchers up to and including 13U, with room for up to four guests — ideal for focused family or small-group sessions. Both baseball and softball players are covered.
The host
Bret is clear about why this exists: "Baseball and softball have been a great way for us to spend more time together as a family and to teach our children the values that are so important to us." The operation runs not-for-profit — revenue beyond costs goes back to underserved families to cover league dues, equipment, and training, and you can even donate good used gear for players who need it.
Good to know
The space is fully indoors and climate-controlled, so heat, cold, and rain never factor in, and it's private for every booking. Parking and lighting are on site, and the give-back mission means every session helps a local family somewhere down the line.
For Foristell-area families, the not-for-profit mission gives every booking a little extra weight — your session time helps fund gear and league dues for players who couldn't otherwise afford them. The climate-controlled space means training stays on schedule through Missouri's coldest and hottest stretches. Booking runs by the hour through the listing page, so it's easy to set a weekly slot for younger players or grab a one-off session, and the low-cost add-ons keep a full practice affordable.
