Some cages get built for business. This indoor batting cage in Clermont, FL got built for a son. When Will's boy caught the baseball bug, the family wanted a place where he could train whenever he wanted, and Coach Will's Indoor Tunnel is the result.

The cage

The tunnel runs 35 feet long and 10 feet wide over a turf surface, with a fully functioning Iron Mike pitching machine anchoring it. The hitting kit is genuinely stocked: baseballs, regular and golf wiffle balls, a thunder stick, weighted balls, smush balls, tees, and an L-screen. Pitchers get a mound, a tic-tac-toe target, a soft-toss net, bands, and stabilization tools. Lighting, parking, music, and seating round it out, and sessions run $25/hour.

Who it's for

Will hosts individual sessions, small groups, youth team practices, and private lessons for players from youth through high school and college, with room for up to 12 guests. Whether it's a solo hitter grinding out reps or a small crew working the machine, the setup handles it.

The host

"Baseball has been in my blood for 36 years," Will says, and he still plays, still practices in the tunnel himself, and conducts private lessons there. What started as a way to give his son access to the tools he needed has turned into a space the whole Clermont community can use.

What hitters say

"Great experience, definitely looking forward to doing it again. Coach Will was super welcoming.". Juan

"Gorgeous cage.". Frank

Good to know

The tunnel is fully indoors and lit, so weather never gets a vote and evening sessions are no problem. Parking is on site, and with music and seating it's an easy place to bring a training partner or a parent along.

For Clermont-area families, what stands out is how much thought went into the equipment list, the range of hitting tools, from wiffle and weighted balls to the thunder stick and smush balls, means a hitter can work on timing, contact, and bat speed without hauling their own gear. Booking is by the hour through the listing page, so it's simple to grab a weekly reps slot or a one-off tune-up before a game.
