Indoor Batting Cage in Atascadero, CA

Black Barn Baseball's indoor batting cage in Atascadero, CA is a spacious barn lane run by a training operation that lives to grow players — with a second outdoor cage on site and the option to book both at once for a full team session.
The cage
The indoor cage sits inside a large barn, measuring 40 feet long, 21 wide, and 14 tall — genuinely roomy for machine and live work, not a tight single lane. It comes with baseballs and softballs, an L-screen, a hitting tee, and a bullpen mound, with a restroom and parking on site. Sessions run $60 an hour, and there's a $60 add-on to rent both the indoor and outdoor cages at the same time for an hour. A separate outdoor cage — 48 by 12 — is also available on the property.
Who it's for
The barn's generous 21-foot width and 14-foot height suit individual hitters, small groups, and pitching or catching work alike, with plenty of room to swing freely. Both baseball and softball players are covered, and the option to book both cages together makes it a practical choice for a coach running two groups or a family with two players training at once.
The host
"We want kids to come to our place, train and expand their skills so they can be the best athletes they can be," the Black Barn Baseball team says. "We love the game of baseball and love to share it with others." They also run lessons during the week — and if the schedule doesn't show a time that works, they invite you to reach out and they'll try to make one happen.
Good to know
Be sure to specify indoor or outdoor when you book, since both cages are on the property and each is reserved separately. House rules are standard: no cleats, no seeds, food, or gum, no pets, no alcohol or glass. A restroom and parking are on site, and the indoor barn is usable year-round regardless of the weather outside.
