Indoor Batting Cage in Alvin, TX

This indoor batting cage in Alvin, TX was built by a baseball family for their sons' select team — a full 70-foot covered lane that now gives other local players the same year-round place to train. Both of the host's sons currently pitch in high school, and the thought behind the cage clearly reflects that.

The cage

The covered indoor cage measures 70 feet long, 19 wide, and 12 tall — full regulation length with plenty of width to swing freely. It's stocked with a baseball pitching machine plus fast-pitch and slow-pitch softball machines, an L-screen, a hitting tee, and a bullpen mound, along with baseballs and softballs. LED lighting, seating, music, a restroom, and parking are all on site. Sessions run $40 an hour, booked by the hour so you reserve exactly the block you need.

Who it's for

With room for up to ten guests, a full-length lane, and a bullpen mound, this cage handles team practices, small groups, and individual work with equal ease. Baseball and softball players are both covered thanks to the multiple machine options, and the pitching mound makes it a real two-way space where hitters and arms can both get quality work in the same visit.

The host

"We built these cages for our sons' select team practices," Griffin says. "Both sons currently pitch in high school." It's a family setup born from years of driving to practice and wanting somewhere close, reliable, and their own — and now that same investment is shared with other Alvin-area players chasing the exact same goal, instead of sitting empty between team workouts.
