Host Spotlight: Valentin's Backyard Batting Cage in Anaheim, CA

Valentin Garcia opened his Anaheim backyard cage with one goal in mind: give hitters a place to train and feel completely at home while they do it. "I want you to feel at peace and at home when coming here," he says — and that welcome is the whole point of this Cage Spotlight.
The cage
This is a serious outdoor setup running a full 55 feet long, 11 feet wide, and 10 feet high — long enough to see real pitches and time your swing. It comes stocked with a baseball pitching machine, an L-screen, a hitting tee, baseballs, and — a rare bonus — a bullpen mound, so pitchers can get their work in too. There's a seating area for whoever comes along to watch. At $35/hour for a private space that holds up to four, it's an easy call when you need reps in Orange County.
The host
Valentin is a baseball and softball guy through and through. "We are a baseball and softball family! We built the batting cage for the kids to train and have fun and now we want to give the opportunity for someone else to train." That's exactly the CageList idea: a great cage shouldn''t sit empty when a hitter down the road needs it.
