Host Spotlight: Ron's Backyard Batting Cage in Riverside, CA

Not many backyard cages come with a big-league origin story, but Coach Rac's does. Ron Cruz's Riverside, CA cage was put up with the help of a pro who used his break from the Nationals to swing a hammer — and hitters in Riverside get to reap the benefits.
The cage
Ron's outdoor cage runs a full 70 feet long, 13 feet wide, and 10 feet tall, so there's plenty of length to really work through a bucket. It comes set up with an L-screen and a batting tee, and it's a private space that comfortably fits a group of up to eight, whether that's a small team session or a family rotating through swings. Sessions run a friendly $40/hour, and the whole setup is geared toward simple, focused hitting.
The host
Ron tells the story better than we can: "RobertAnthony helped us put up this cage when he was on break from the Nationals before he became recognized as Coach Rac! (He still uses it during the off season.) Hoping you'll enjoy it!" A cage good enough for a pro to keep training in is a pretty good endorsement — and it's open to you.
