Host Spotlight: Mark's Hitting Lab Cage in Hemet, CA

Most cages hand you a machine. Mark hands you a live arm. His outdoor cage in Hemet, "The Hitting Lab," comes with something you rarely find on a rental — the host himself, ready to throw you real batting practice.
The cage
The Hitting Lab is a 35-foot outdoor cage, 12 feet wide and 10 tall, laid out on turf under lights so evening sessions work just fine. What sets it apart, in Mark's words, is that "it comes with a live pitching arm, MINE!" The equipment is legit too: an MLB hitting mat, an MLB Tanner tee, an MLB L-screen, a ball cart, and hundreds of Rawlings baseballs. There's a bathroom, parking, seating for whoever's watching, and even free Gatorade or water during your session. Sessions run $30/hour, and the cage holds a group of up to eight.
The host
Mark comes by the passion honestly. "I am a sports enthusiast with a wealth of knowledge in baseball," he says — he played shortstop at Mater Dei High in Orange County and quarterbacked the varsity football team. But it's the teaching he loves most: "I love teaching, that is where my passion lies." His sign-off says it all — "Work hard, have fun." When the Lab is open, he shares it with hitters around Hemet.
Book it — or list your own
If you're near Hemet and want a cage with a real arm behind the L-screen, book Mark's cage here and get to work. Somewhere else? Find a batting cage near you and get in the box.
And if you've got a cage sitting idle most of the week, Mark is a great example of what's possible. List your cage on CageList and see what it could earn — while helping hitters in your own community get better.
Thanks for being part of CageList, Mark.
