Host Spotlight: Jose's Backyard Batting Cage in Port St. Lucie, FL

Little Sluggers PSL started the way a lot of the best cages do: a coach and his kids got tired of driving all over Port St. Lucie, FL looking for somewhere to practice, so Jose just built one in his own backyard — and then opened it up to everyone else.
The cage
This private outdoor cage runs a full 60 feet long, 12 feet wide, and 10 feet tall — plenty of room for extra reps, individual work, or a team session. The centerpiece is a Bata B1 pitching machine that throws real curveballs and fastballs up to 70 mph, and it handles both baseballs and softballs, so hitters of every stripe are covered. You also get an L-screen, a batting tee, a seating area, restroom access, and parking, and sessions run just $40/hour.
The host
Jose — Joey to the players — coaches little league and has two sons in the game, ages 10 and 12. As he tells it: "We got sick and tired of looking for somewhere to practice so we decided to build this in our home. We'd be happy to share it with you!" You get full access to the cage and machine, and he's quick to answer questions. That's the CageList idea in a nutshell.
