Host Spotlight: George's Full-Size Backyard Cage in Vestavia Hills, AL

Over near Hoover, Vestavia, and Mountain Brook, George keeps one of the more serious backyard setups you'll find on CageList — a full-size cage that hitters and whole teams can actually work in.
The cage
George's outdoor cage runs a full 70 feet long, 15 feet wide, and 12 feet tall — genuinely full-size, with room for individual reps or team practice. It's built to do a lot at once: two L-screens, a divider so you can run two soft-pitch sessions side by side, and a full-width pitching mound so two pitcher/catcher pairs can work at the same time. The pitching machine is an ATEC 3-wheel with a feeder, and it comes stocked with a Skilz Hurricane, a Tanner Tee, and a 5-gallon bucket of leather baseballs over a turf batter's box and pitching mound. LED lights keep it going after dark, and there's parking and seating on site. It goes for $65/hour.
The host
George opened up his private cage to hitters across the Vestavia Hills area — the kind of full-size space that would otherwise sit empty most of the week, now open to anyone nearby who needs their reps.
