Host Spotlight: Derrin's Backyard Cage in Litchfield Park, AZ

Derrin's Litchfield Park cage comes with something most backyard setups simply can't offer — a former MLB player and coach who can actually get in there and work with you between rounds. That's a rare thing to find on a hitter's home turf.
The cage
The cage itself is a 60-by-12-foot outdoor tunnel, 10 feet tall, with a portable mound so hitters and pitchers both get their time in the same session. Baseballs are provided, along with an L-screen for safe front toss and a batting tee for isolation work, and there's enough space to fold in some infield reps when you want to mix it up. A plyo wall is on hand for arm-strength and throwing work, and the facility side covers the basics with a restroom and a sound system. The real headline, though, is the professional instruction add-on: Derrin is a former MLB player and coach, so genuine, high-level personal instruction is right there if you want to book it alongside your cage time. The cage runs $50/hour, with instruction available on top.
The host
Derrin — a former MLB player and coach — opened up his private Litchfield Park cage to hitters across the West Valley looking for quality reps and real, experienced instruction.
