Host Spotlight: Andy's Turfed Backyard Batting Cage in Whittier, CA

Andy Sanchez opened his Whittier backyard cage with a simple mission: "Just want to use my cage for everyone to see that there is a cage in SoCal to use." If you want a quiet, private place to hit, Andy built it for you.
The cage
This outdoor cage runs 40 feet long, 6 feet wide, and 13 feet high, and it has turf underfoot for a clean, consistent surface. Andy thought about comfort too: there's a covered patio for shade, plus an avocado tree if you'd rather sit out in the open, LED lighting, a sound system, and a seating area. The cage comes with baseballs, an L-screen, and a hitting tee. Here's the standout part — if you show up solo and want live toss, Andy will throw to you himself so you get the full session. All of that for just $10/hour, one of the best values you'll find.
The host
Andy's whole pitch is about peace and quiet: a place to hit without any noise, on your own or with teammates. Opening his cage to the neighborhood is exactly what CageList is about — a great cage shouldn''t sit empty when a hitter nearby wants to work.
Book it — or list your own
If you're anywhere near Whittier and you need somewhere to hit, book Andy''s cage here and get to work. Somewhere else? Find a batting cage near you and get in the box.
Got a cage of your own sitting idle most of the week? List your cage on CageList and see what it could earn — while helping hitters in your community get better.
