Founder of CageList and MADE Baseball. Baseball has been my life since I was nine years old. I've played at every level: Little League, travel ball, high school, college and professional ball, in independent leagues across the United States, Mexico, the Czech Republic and Canada, plus a club season in Australia. Frontier League All-Star and championship series MVP in 2007, a no-hitter in 2008, four championships, and one of two players in history to play pro ball after a total hip replacement, the other was Bo Jackson. In 2024 I was pitching coach for the Savannah Bananas' Party Animals. I coach hitting, pitching, infield, catching and baseball IQ, 8U through varsity. High standards, simple language, relentless positivity: my players know why they are doing what they are doing, so it holds up when I am not standing next to them. Homeschool families: I coach Monday through Friday during the day at Swing Kingz. Just a guy who peaked a little too late. Still in love with the game and growing it in any way I can.
Disclosure: Isaac Hess founded CageList and coaches here himself. He taught private lessons full time for 15 years before building it, and he books his own lessons on the same platform every other coach uses.

How to choose a coach
- 1Ask what they would change first, and why. A good coach can explain it in plain words a ten year old understands. If the answer is a gadget, keep looking.
- 2Be wary of guarantees. Nobody can promise velocity, a roster spot or a scholarship. A coach can promise a plan and a standard.
- 3Ask about arm care before a pitcher's first lesson. Pitch counts, rest and how they build up throwing volume matter more than one more mechanical tweak.
- 4Check the check. A Background Check Verified badge on CageList means identity, national criminal, sex offender registry and watchlist searches came back clear. Still ask for a family with a player your child's age to talk to.
- 5Book one lesson before a pack. Watch the first hour. You will know whether your child wants to come back.

Questions parents ask
Can I book a private baseball lesson in Celebration on CageList?
Not with a coach based in the Celebration area yet. CageList only lists coaches who are verified and background checked, and none have joined there so far. The nearest coaches we list teach in the Orlando area: Isaac Hess and Dillen. You can leave your email on this page and we will write the day a verified coach joins.
How long is a private baseball lesson?
A private lesson on CageList is 60 minutes. That is long enough for a warm up, focused reps and a plan for the week, and short enough that a young player is still paying attention at the end.
Can two players take a private lesson together, and what does it cost?
Yes. Each extra player adds 40% of the coach's solo rate and the total is split evenly between the players, so each player's share is lower than a solo lesson. At a $120 solo rate, two players pay $84 each ($168 total) for the same 60 minutes. Two players is usually the sweet spot: each kid has someone to compete with and someone to learn from.
Where do private baseball lessons happen in Celebration?
Coaches list their usual places on their page once they join. The exact address is shared after you book. CageList also lists 5 training places across the Celebration area (academies and bookable backyard cages) if you want to compare options.
Are the coaches background checked?
Every coach with a Background Check Verified badge on CageList has passed a Checkr check covering identity, national criminal, sex offender registry and watchlist searches before their page goes live. A background check is not a guarantee of anything else, so still ask about experience and watch the first lesson.
What age should a child start private baseball lessons?
There is no required age. For a complete beginner, usually 8 and under, a lesson is about the rules, good habits and having fun, and any age above 4 is a fine place to start. Most of the 25,000 private lessons Isaac Hess has taught over 15 years were with players aged 8 to 13, which is when kids start to want to fix something specific, like a long swing or how they throw.
Which Celebration area towns do lessons cover?
This page covers Celebration, Kissimmee, Windermere, Davenport, and Winter Garden. Coaches list where they teach, and some travel between several of these towns.
