Host Spotlight: Vidal's Analytic Academy Cages in Santee, CA

Sometimes you just want a quiet, well-equipped place to hit or work on your pitching — no crowds, no noise, no waiting for a lane. That's the idea behind Vidal's Analytic Academy in Santee, a real indoor facility built for focused, distraction-free work.
The cage
Analytic Academy is a 3,400 sq ft indoor space with three cages, so there's room to spread out and train the way you want. The main cage runs a full 70 feet and is equipped with HitTrax, a pitching mound, and a nine-pocket pitching aid — data-driven hitting and real bullpen work in the same lane. Two more 35-foot cages round it out, one of them also HitTrax-equipped, which is ideal for lessons or shorter tune-up sessions. Every cage comes stocked with baseballs, an L-screen, and a tee, and there's a baseball bullpen mound plus enough room for infield work. Softballs are on hand too, so it serves both games equally well. Add a restroom, good lighting, seating for anyone watching, a sound system, and parking, and it's a complete indoor setup. Base sessions run $50/hour, with dedicated HitTrax cage options available for 30 or 60 minutes when you want to dig into your numbers.
The host
Vidal offers hands-on help that sets this place apart from a self-serve cage: "I throw batting practice to all ages," he says, and "I do live at-bats if needed or requested." That's real coaching value stacked on top of the equipment — a chance to see live pitching, not just a machine.
