Host Spotlight: Steve's Heated Indoor Hit & Pitch Zone in Kent, OH

When your season doesn't stop for Ohio winters, a heated indoor cage is worth its weight in gold — and that's exactly what Steve Huddleston opened up to hitters in Kent.
The cage
Steve's cage sits inside a 40-by-60 heated, enclosed outbuilding, so cold weather never cancels a session. The cage measures 45 feet long, 15 feet wide, and 10 feet tall, and the space is set up so a group can work at once — multiple kids can hit off a tee while others are in the cage hitting or pitching. It's stocked for softball as much as baseball, with softballs, an L-screen, a hitting tee, and a softball bullpen mound for pitchers. There's music and parking on site. At $30/hour, it's one of the more affordable covered, year-round spaces you'll find on the platform.
The host
Steve puts it plainly: "dad of 2 girl softball players," a longtime coach who calls coaching his passion, and a small-business owner who runs his own construction company. With his oldest heading off to play college ball, some cage time has freed up — and as he says, he's "just trying to help anyone out who struggles finding a place to practice."
Book it — or list your own
If you're anywhere near Kent and you need somewhere to hit, book Steve's cage here and get to work. Somewhere else? Find a batting cage near you and get in the box.
And if you've got a cage of your own sitting idle most of the week, Steve is a great example of what's possible. List your cage on CageList and see what it could earn.
