Host Spotlight: Niko's 22-Foot Cage in Rockville, MD

Niko's cage in Rockville has a number that jumps off the page: 22 feet tall. His indoor space is built for hitters and pitchers who want serious ceiling — literally — plus the tech to measure what they're doing.
The cage
This is a big indoor cage, running 70 feet long, 13 wide, and a towering 22 feet tall, with flexible length options at 35 or 70 feet depending on what you're working on. That height is rare and genuinely useful for high pop-ups, long toss, and pitching work. Niko sums up the gear list simply: "Machines, TrackMan, tees, weights, plates, heavy balls… everything." The equipment includes baseball and softball pitching machines, an L-screen, hitting tees, a bullpen mound, and both baseballs and softballs — with TrackMan on hand to track your metrics. Sessions start at $25/hour, and it holds a group up to twenty-five.
The host
Niko is a coach at heart. He describes himself as a "baseball coach who loves teaching the game and watching players of all ages reach their potential." That coaching mindset shows in the setup — the measurement tools, the flexible cage length, the room for a big group. When it's open, he shares the space with hitters and teams around Rockville.
