Host Spotlight: Jose's Houston Hustlers Academy in Humble, TX

Jose runs Houston Hustlers Academy in Humble, and it's less a backyard cage and more a full training operation — an indoor facility where teams and individual players can get serious work in, for baseball and softball alike.

The cage

Jose's indoor setup is built to do a lot. It offers a full infield with enough space for infield work, a hitting tee, an L-screen, baseball and softball bullpen mounds, a baseball pitching machine, and a slow-pitch softball machine — so hitters and pitchers from both games are covered. There's a bathroom, a seating area, a sound system, and plenty of parking, with room for large groups. It's an extremely private space that handles everything from individual sessions and small groups to youth and adult team practices, pitching and infield work, camps and clinics, lessons, and even birthday parties. Sessions run $45/hour for a genuinely flexible, facility-grade environment.

The host

Jose keeps it simple about why he does this: "We are family who loves baseball and coaching kids." That shows in how the Academy is set up — a welcoming space where players of every level, from youth to pro, can come train and get better.
