How Referrals & Credits Work
Refer friends, earn CageList credit, and use it toward your bookings. Here's everything you need to know.
How a booking's price breaks down
Prices are all-in and itemized at checkout. Here's a simple example — a 1-hour booking of a $50/hr cage:
Cage time (1 hr × $50/hr)$50.00
Guest service fee (10% of cage time)$5.00
Total the guest pays$55.00
Host commission (10%)−$5.00
Host payout$45.00
CageList keeps (guest fee + host commission)$10.00
It all reconciles: the guest pays $55.00, which is the host's payout ($45.00) plus what CageList keeps ($10.00). The 10% guest service fee applies to cage time, and the host's 10% commission comes out of cage time too.
With a $10 CageList credit, this booking drops to $45.00 — the credit comes straight off what you pay, and your host is still paid their full $45.00. Credit is 15% off, up to $10 per booking, taken on the cage price before the service fee. Unused credit stays on your account for a future booking.
