How to Tell an Authorized JUGS Dealer From a Reseller

Search for a JUGS pitching machine and you'll find it listed a dozen different places, at a dozen different prices, from sellers you've never heard of. Some of those listings are fine. Some are a warranty headache waiting to happen. Here's what actually separates an authorized JUGS dealer from someone just reselling one.

Ask where the warranty comes from

JUGS backs its machines with a manufacturer warranty, but only when the machine was sold through an authorized channel. Buy from an unauthorized third party and you can end up with a machine JUGS won't service under warranty, even though the machine itself is genuine. Before you buy anywhere online, it's worth asking directly: is this seller an authorized JUGS dealer, and does the warranty transfer to me?

Check who actually ships it

A real dealer's order goes to JUGS. If a listing ships from a random third-party warehouse instead of JUGS itself, ask why. It could be old stock, a return, or a machine that changed hands more than once before reaching you, none of which you can verify from a product photo.

Compare the price to JUGS's own retail pricing

JUGS publishes retail pricing for its full lineup. A price that's dramatically below that, especially on a $2,000 to $5,000 machine, is worth a second look. It can mean a used or refurbished unit sold as new, a different (cheaper) model than the listing photo shows, or a price that will quietly change after you click through.
