About this field

Grand Park Athletic Complex is a public outdoor sports complex owned and operated by the City of Myrtle Beach through its Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department. Located in the Market Common district of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, near Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium, the complex features nine synthetic-turf, lighted fields. Seven are large multipurpose fields (Fields 1-7) built for baseball, softball, lacrosse, soccer and football, offering base distances of 60/65/70/80/90 feet and 300-foot outfield fences; two youth fields (Fields 8-9) have 200-foot fences and 60/65/70-foot base distances. On-site amenities include a six-tunnel batting cage, three towers housing restrooms and concessions, and ample parking. The all-turf, fully lit layout allows day and evening play across seasons, and the complex regularly hosts youth and adult baseball and softball tournaments as well as multi-sport events. Field rentals, reservations and tournament contracts are managed by the city's Sports Tourism Division. Outside teams and organizers can arrange practice rentals or tournament use by contacting the Sports Tourism office at 843-918-2278, calling the field-rental coordinator at 843-918-2389, or visiting the Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism website at myrtlebeachprst.com for facility-rental information.

Frequently asked questions

Who owns and manages Grand Park Athletic Complex, and who controls reservations?
The complex is owned and operated by the City of Myrtle Beach through its Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department. The city's Sports Tourism Division is responsible for all field contracts and reservations, so any outside use must be arranged through the city rather than a private operator.
How can an outside team book the fields for a practice or a tournament?
Outside teams and tournament organizers arrange use through the Sports Tourism Division. Call 843-918-2278 for tournament and event inquiries, or reach the field-rental coordinator at 843-918-2389 for practice or single-field rentals. Facility-rental details are also posted at myrtlebeachprst.com. Availability and fees are confirmed by city staff.
Are there batting cages at Grand Park Athletic Complex?
Yes. The complex includes a six-tunnel batting cage on site, alongside its nine turf fields. Batting-cage access is arranged through the same City of Myrtle Beach Sports Tourism office that handles field rentals; contact them to confirm availability and any usage terms.
What are the hours and season?
All nine fields have synthetic turf and lights, which supports day and evening play throughout much of the year, and the complex hosts tournaments across multiple seasons. Specific operating hours are not published for general drop-in use; confirm current hours and seasonal scheduling with the City of Myrtle Beach Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department at 843-918-2278.
Are there fees or permits to use the fields?
Because the fields are city-managed, organized use requires a reservation or rental contract through the Sports Tourism Division, and rental fees apply. Contact the office at 843-918-2278 (or the rental coordinator at 843-918-2389) to obtain current pricing, permit requirements, and a rental agreement before your event.
