Freedom Florence Recreation Complex is a public multi-field baseball and softball complex owned and operated by the City of Florence Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism department. Located at 1515 Freedom Boulevard in Florence, South Carolina, the roughly 100-acre facility opened in 1990 and is built to host local league play as well as state, regional, and national tournaments. It offers nine lighted baseball/softball fields split between an Upper Complex (five fields) and a Lower Complex (four fields), plus a separate three-field lighted football/multi-purpose area. Fields are equipped with bleacher seating, press boxes, scoreboards, and PA systems, with concession stands at both the upper and lower complexes and restrooms throughout the grounds. The complex also includes automated batting cages, a large parking area, a five-acre pond, a picnic shelter/amphitheater, a gymnastics center, and roughly two miles of walking and biking trails. Ball fields are reserved for organized league, tournament, and practice use rather than casual public drop-in. Outside teams arrange field use through the City of Florence Athletics & Sports Tourism main office at (843) 665-3253; the complex can be reached directly at (843) 669-4597. Batting cages operate on posted seasonal hours and welcome both walk-in users and reserved team sessions.
