About the league

Adult men's wood-bat baseball league in the Springfield/Ozark area, founded 2014 with first season in 2016, playing 9-inning games on Sundays at U.S. Baseball Park in Ozark. Teams include the Nixa Suckers, Branson Showmen, Republic Locos, Ozark Mountain Ducks, Springfield Metropolitans and Moon City Mavericks.

Like most men's leagues, it plays real hardball, with wood or BBCOR bats, umpired games and a full season schedule. It is the kind of competitive baseball that's hard to find once high school and college ball are behind you. Rosters usually mix former high school and college players with guys returning to the game after years away, so there's typically a division that fits your level. New players can usually join Grip'N'Rip Baseball League as a free agent or enter a full team; reach out through the league before the season sets its rosters. This is a free, unclaimed CageList directory listing; the league runs its own schedule, rosters, and registration.

Between games, keep your swing and glove sharp: Ozark-area players can book batting cages and find training facilities and open fields to practice at nearby.
