About

Hey there! My name's Nolan Bryan, named after the legendary pitcher Nolan Ryan. I learned everything about baseball from my dad, Frank Bryan, who was a pitcher drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 7th round. Coaching is my passion. My goal is to inspire self-confidence and joy within the game of baseball. I teach my players to have extremely high expectations for themselves, and to not beat themselves up mentally when they fall short of those expectations. The phrase I like to instill is "I'm going to, rather than I hope I don't." For example, my player might tell themself "I'm going to hit a home run," instead of "I hope I don't strike out." In my experience, I've seen that assuming positive outcomes leads to more success - in baseball and in daily life. I have also seen that a player with extremely sound fundamentals will sometimes make mistakes if they are't prepared for high-pressure moments. I teach my players to do both - be fundamentally sound, and want the big moments. I look forward to our lesson together.
