Aztec Baseball League

The Aztec Baseball League is an independent adult baseball league serving the western Inland Empire, with games played on high school and park fields around Ontario and Pomona — including Chaffey, Colony, Montclair, Ontario, and Pomona high schools plus Ralph Welch, Sunnymead, and Washington parks. It was founded in June 2008 to fill the gap left when the long-running Pomona Baseball League disbanded, and it carried over traditions such as requiring all players on a team to wear matching uniforms.

The league's website maintains team listings, playoff information, bylaws, and a free-agent list for individual players seeking a roster spot. Current season status could not be independently confirmed, so prospective players should contact the league directly to verify that registration is open.

Like most men's leagues, it plays real hardball, with wood or BBCOR bats, umpired games and a full season schedule. It is the kind of competitive baseball that's hard to find once high school and college ball are behind you. Rosters usually mix former high school and college players with guys returning to the game after years away, so there's typically a division that fits your level. New players can usually join Aztec Baseball League as a free agent or enter a full team; reach out through the league before the season sets its rosters. This is a free, unclaimed CageList directory listing; the league runs its own schedule, rosters, and registration.

Between games, keep your swing and glove sharp: Ontario/Pomona-area players can book batting cages and find training facilities and open fields to practice at nearby.
