About the league
New England's largest amateur adult baseball league, with roughly 51 wood-bat teams across divisions for ages 18+, 28+ (Boston and MetroWest), 38+ Masters and 45+. From 1988-2021 it was the local MABL/MSBL chapter (Boston Men's Baseball League) before going independent in 2022. New and former players can sign up to be made available to team managers in their age division.
Like most men's leagues, it plays real hardball across 18+, 28+ Boston, 28+ MetroWest, 38+ Masters, 45+ Veterans divisions, with wood or BBCOR bats, umpired games and a full season schedule. It is the kind of competitive baseball that's hard to find once high school and college ball are behind you. Rosters usually mix former high school and college players with guys returning to the game after years away, so there's typically a division that fits your level. New players can usually join Boston Metro Baseball League as a free agent or enter a full team; reach out through the league before the season sets its rosters. This is a free, unclaimed CageList directory listing; the league runs its own schedule, rosters, and registration.
Between games, keep your swing and glove sharp: Boston-area players can book batting cages and find training facilities and open fields to practice at nearby.
