About the league
Adult amateur summer twilight baseball league serving the Greater Hartford area since 1929, with teams including the Bristol Greeners, East Hartford Jets, Manchester Brewers, Middletown Mets, South Windsor Phillies and Vernon Orioles. MLB alumni such as Jeff Bagwell and Bernie Williams played in the league.
Like most men's leagues, it plays real hardball, with wood or BBCOR bats, umpired games and a full season schedule. It is the kind of competitive baseball that's hard to find once high school and college ball are behind you. Rosters usually mix former high school and college players with guys returning to the game after years away, so there's typically a division that fits your level. New players can usually join Greater Hartford Twilight Baseball League as a free agent or enter a full team; reach out through the league before the season sets its rosters. This is a free, unclaimed CageList directory listing; the league runs its own schedule, rosters, and registration.
Between games, keep your swing and glove sharp: Hartford-area players can book batting cages and find training facilities and open fields to practice at nearby.
