About this field
Havins Softball Fields are City of Austin softball diamonds reserved through PARD Athletics (same office that handles Bob Havins / Krieg inventory). Use the hourly application for practice and the formal seasonal application for leagues or tournaments.
Field details
- For team practice / informal hourly use: download the Athletic Field Use Application (Hourly) from capitalcityathletics.com/downloads, email it to PARDAthletics@austintexas.gov or drop it at the Athletics Office (515 S. Pleasant Valley Rd), pay in full, and keep the emailed permit on site. Hourly slots are 1–3 hours and are not for scheduled games/scrimmages/tournaments — use the Sports Tournament & Sport League Season application for those. League/tournament windows open the 1st Monday in December (Feb–Jun dates) and 1st Monday in May (Jul–Nov dates) at 9:00 AM.
- Hourly informal rentals require payment in full before a permit is issued (no deposit). Confirm current hourly rates with Athletics — fee schedules update. Formal league/tournament applications follow separate seasonal windows and may require insurance.
